Special Issue of Studia Logica
dedicated to the memory of Leo Esakia

Guest editors: Lev Beklemishev (Russian Academy of Sciences), Guram Bezhanishvili (New Mexico State University), Daniele Mundici (University of Florence) and Yde Venema (University of Amsterdam)

Studia Logica invites contributions to the special issue dedicated to the memory of the great Georgian logician Leo Esakia (1934-2010). Leo was the founder of the logic school in Georgia. He made numerous important contributions to the study of algebraic and topological semantics of modal and intuitionistic logics. Several landmark theorems in the field bear his name. Leo also contributed immensely to establishing a strong research community working on algebraic, topological, and categorical methods in logic.

We specifically invite submissions on the topics closely related to Leo's research.

Submitted papers should not exceed 20 pages (including bibliography), formatted according to the Studia Logica LaTeX style (for detailed instructions, see Information for Authors). Only electronic submissions will be accepted. The authors should send an email with subject "Studia Logica Special Issue dedicated to Leo Esakia" to the issue editors (gbezhani [at] math . nmsu . edu), with the file of the paper as an attachment.

Deadline for submission of manuscripts to the issue editors: 30th April, 2011.
